Post-Surgery Dry Eye
Care that extends beyond the surgery itself
Personalised dry-eye management
After cataract surgery, the eyes may feel temporarily dry
during the recovery process.
Shinsegae Eye Clinic precisely analyses each patient's dry-eye data and recovery progress, providing optimised, personalised care for every individual.

Why does dry eye occur after cataract surgery?

Temporary dulling of corneal nerves
Fine nerves around the corneal incision site may be affected,
temporarily reducing tear-secretion signals.
Inflammation and post-op eye drops
Essential post-op eye drops can briefly destabilise
the tear film during recovery.
Aggravation of pre-existing dry eye
Patients who already had dry eye before surgery
may notice symptoms more strongly during recovery.
Dry Eye Self-Check
If 3 or more of the symptoms below apply to you, dry eye disease may be suspected — visit an ophthalmologist for an accurate assessment.
