LAL+ / LDD

Completing cataract surgery,
LAL
Conventional IOLs rely solely on pre-operative data,
which can leave a small refractive error after implantation.
LAL: power is fine-tuned
while confirming actual vision after the eye has fully healed.

LAL Lens Features
LAL is a light-adjustable IOL that allows power and astigmatism adjustment
via the Light Delivery Device (LDD) even after surgery.
Vision is corrected by delivering a specialised UV light.
The photosensitive material inside the lens is subtly reshaped by light
to find the most comfortable power for the patient.
Up to 3 fine-tuning sessions for power and astigmatism after surgery
No concern about revision surgery or corneal cutting
Choose your preferred vision while living life after surgery
Daily activities without reading glasses or spectacles
Excellent sharpness comparable to monofocal lenses
Minimised night glare and halo compared to multifocal lenses
Co-developed with a Nobel Prize-winning chemist over 20 years
US FDA approved in 2017, used in over 300,000 cases
European CE and Korean MFDS certified in 2025

Precision vision correction, completed with light
LDD (Light Delivery Device)
LDD is the dedicated light-delivery device for LAL.
Once the eye has sufficiently recovered after surgery,
it delivers a specific wavelength of light
to finely adjust the power of the intraocular lens.
LAL Vision Adjustment Process
IOL Implantation
The LAL lens is precisely
implanted using a state-of-the-art
laser system suited to the eye.Recovery & Stabilisation
Progress is monitored
until the eye has fully recovered
and real-world vision has stabilised.UV Power Adjustment
Specific wavelengths of light
are delivered via LDD to precisely
fine-tune power for each patient.Vision Lock-in
Once the target vision is reached,
a final UV treatment permanently
locks the lens in place.
How LAL Differs from Conventional Cataract Lenses
Who LAL is recommended for
Those who want clear, sharp vision after cataract surgery
Those with a higher chance of refractive error due to past LASIK or LASEK.
Those who want to reduce dependence on reading glasses
Experience clear vision from close-up reading to long-distance driving.
Those at risk of error from past LASIK or LASEK
Refractive errors or distortions from prior surgery can be corrected with precision.
Professionals who need fine-tuned vision at specific distances
Provides clear, stable vision even in low-light conditions or detail-oriented tasks.
Those who want to experience the outcome before committing
Test and choose the vision that suits you best through UV light adjustment.
Those dissatisfied with a previous IOL considering revision
Overcome previous limitations and expect outstanding results through tailored adjustment.
Side effects such as dry eye and glare may occur after surgery.
